  • To renew your Real Estate License in the state of Maryland, you are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
  • If your license expires between 10/02/2006 and 10/01/2008, the hours needed are as follows:

    • If you have held a Residential Real Estate License for less than 10 years you are required to have 15 hours of continuing education, which must include 3 hours of legislative topics, 1.5 hours of fair housing topics, and 3 hours of Maryland Code of Ethics, Flipping, and Predatory Lending.
    • If you have held a Residential Real Estate License for at least 10 years you are required to have 9 hours of continuing education, which must include 3 hours of legislative topics, 1.5 hours of fair housing topics, and 3 hours of Maryland Code of Ethics, Flipping, and Predatory Lending.
    • If you have held a Commercial Real Estate License for less than 10 years you are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education that must include 3 hours of legislative topics and 3 hours of Maryland Code of Ethics, Flipping, and Predatory Lending.
    • If you have held a Commercial Real Estate License for at least 10 years you are required to complete 9 hours of continuing education that must include 3 hours of legislative topics and 3 hours of Maryland Code of Ethics, Flipping, and Predatory Lending.
  • The course provider will furnish the attendee with a certificate of completion that state the number of clock hours completed.
  • The licensee will submit to the Board a copy of the certificate of completion to verify continuing education completion.
